5 Good places for networking.

5 Good places for networking.

The first time you hear this you are thinking…. How, I don’t know people, am an introvert, I am shy and everything else. If you intend to become successful in your business as an entrepreneur,
you have to network. Why? Because it’s one way to get the word out on what you are offering. This serves as an additive to your advertising.
Networking also helps build your credibility among peers as they are able to hear distinctively from your about what you are offering and this helps them to evaluate if you really know the product/service you are offering.
There are various ways for you to network of which are:

1. Social media.

A lot of people especially in this part of the world, do not know the importance of social media to their businesses. By having access to the web you can connect with over 1 billion people either they are potential clients or professional peers. Once you sign up to sites like LinkedIn, twitter, Facebook etc. you have opened a window for networking. So if you do not have a social site sign up for one  today.

2. Events.

This is one thing that is never ending. A place like Nigeria where there are weddings happening every Saturday in a house near you, if you are invited to such an event do yourself good by meeting people, find a common ground and kick off from there.

3. Reunions.

This are not done so you could come and gossip with old school mates and see their new spouse. They are for you to regain contacts with friends who you haven’t kept in touch in a long time and also those who are functioning in positions related to yours and find ways you could even partner in the future.

4. Business forums.

Have it as a set goal to attend not less than 4 business forum in a year. Never mind spending. In fact set aside funds for coming up business forums as this is a great avenue to meet entrepreneurs and other top business executives in various fields.

5. Public places.

Places like banks, worship centers, community symposiums are another way you can get to network. So either you are held in a long queue of just closed from a place of worship spend your little time network before leaving for your next destination.

So wherever you find yourself, locate people who you share a common ground with, listen to what they have, make very reasonable contributions and do not be scared to ask for a means of contact because you never might know if you might cross part again.
