My Home, My Office.

My Home, My Office.

Working from home can be of great benefits….. If you don’t get distracted. You may become engrossed with lots of distractions, like when you realise it’s time for one of your favourite programmes or a neighbour comes calling.
This distractions are bound to spring forth. Reason? You are merging spaces together, because like it or not, your office has become your home. Although disruptive instances may pop up and disrupt your productivity ratio, it is very important that you make the area set aside to be your office look like it and not one having a comfy couch and positioned directly opposite the television set (Especially after paying for your subscription).
If you haven’t already picked an area already, locate an area where you are likely to face minimal distractions and attach the “Office” status to it. I would share with you some key elements to note when you are choosing your office space within you home that would help make you more produce a maximum output in whatever you intend to run from there.

Let there be a dim light.
Do not the office environment be utterly bright because, brightness bring about distractions as every little detail in that environment can be seen and this would definitely draw you attention to it. Besides research says Dim lights improves concentration and that’s what you want.

 Colour consideration.
Like it or not colours play a very important role in our relation to our environment.
Blue. For example creates a calm feel psychologically and this eases out the pressure you might feel in carrying out a project.
Red also acts like a confidence booster and also enhances performance on detail- oriented activity and helps in memorising of important information.
Green. There is no way green will not be included because that’s a colour for ideas. It helps in the formation of fresh and exciting ideas you could try with your tasks or projects.

Organisation.
Have all your office needs close to your office space to avoid constant movements around the house this is not only going to disrupt the workflow but also delay your timing. So make sure all the necessary tools you need are just a hand stretch away.

 Furnishings.
Now having the right furnishing matters. If you have a furnished space that is too comfortable and too relaxed, congratulations you just added another bedroom to your house. However, if you have furnishings that are not too soft and the chair is not too relaxed and the tables are very simple and easy to reach not forgetting a little cabinet for your books, documents and other research materials then you have a standard office ready for use.

This tips should guide you in the proper setting up of an office in your home. For other enquiries you could write back to me.
